The Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have apprehended a person in association with an alleged text message scam.
On March 13, the detectives conducted a search of a residence in Truganina and the 18–year–old resident was arrested.
A phone and identification belonging to someone else were seized.
The individual has been accused of negligently managing the earnings resulting from four distinct events between October 14 and 17 of last year.
He has been released on bail and is due in the Werribee Magistrates‘ Court on August 29.
