On 11 March, police apprehended and charged a 19yearold man from Point Cook after a chase through the area.

Air Wing initially saw him riding a Yamaha motorcycle at a reported high rate of speed on the Monash Freeway around 12pm.

As the accused went over the Westgate Bridge south to the Princes Freeway, Air Wing spotted him allegedly weaving through traffic. He was then noticed on Sneydes Road near Point Cook and later on Hacketts Road, both with a speed said to be above the legal limit.

Finally, police found the suspect at a residential address on Tamworth Grove, where he was arrested. The man faces a number of charges, including Reckless Conduct Endangering Life, Drive Speed Dangerous, and Exceed Speedlimit where a speedlimit sign applies.

His motorcycle was impounded for 30 days, and his driving license was revoked. He will appear in Werribee Magistrates Court on 18 September.
