Five new warehouses to be built
A major industrial development spanning more than 98,000 square metres has been approved for Truganina ,marking one of Wyndham’s largest upcoming employment precincts.
Wyndham Council has given final approval for GTP Group’s $85 million plan to construct five large-scale warehouses at 865 Boundary Road, Truganina. The project will transform a vacant site between the Ellarook housing estate and the Melton boundary into a major hub for logistics and business operations.
At the planning committee meeting on 14 October, councillors unanimously supported the proposal, which is expected to generate hundreds of local jobs during construction and ongoing operation.
GTP Group, which already owns 24 warehouses across Wyndham, says the development will meet high sustainability and wellbeing standards. The company plans to include features such as solar arrays, grey water harvesting systems, LED lighting, skylights, and responsibly sourced building materials. Green spaces, walking trails and a basketball court are also incorporated into the design to enhance worker wellbeing.
Subdivision works are scheduled to finish by early 2026, with construction expected to begin mid-2026 and be completed by mid-2027.
