Amazon’s latest investment in Melbourne's West will enhance delivery speeds and create more than 200 jobs.
Amazon has announced a significant investment of over $7 million in a new logistics site in Ravenhall, Victoria, aimed at enhancing delivery speed for customers in the surrounding areas.

The 8,800-square-metre facility, currently under construction at Dexus’ Horizon 3023 estate, is expected to generate more than 200 permanent jobs once operational, as well as offering flexible earning opportunities through Amazon’s delivery service, Amazon Flex. In addition, the project will create approximately 1,000 construction jobs ahead of its planned completion in late 2025.
Located opposite Amazon’s existing Ravenhall fulfilment centre, the new site will complement the operations of the current facility, which manages large items such as BBQs, outdoor furniture, and gardening equipment sold on the Amazon Australia website.
Sandra McNeil, Amazon Australia’s director of operations, expressed enthusiasm for the project: “The Ravenhall logistics site allows us to further contribute to the local economy by creating jobs and flexible earning opportunities. We’re excited to enhance the delivery experience for our customers in Melbourne and across Victoria, while continuing to strengthen our relationship with the local community.”
City of Melton Mayor, Kathy Majdlik, praised Amazon’s decision to expand in Ravenhall, highlighting its impact on the local economy. “This is a major win for jobs growth in the City of Melton. It will not only bring more employment opportunities but also improve delivery access for our rapidly growing community,” she said.
The strategic location of the new logistics site was secured in collaboration with Dexus, leveraging its proximity to Amazon’s existing Ravenhall fulfilment centre and the proposed Western Intermodal Freight Terminal.

The Horizon 3023 estate provides exceptional connectivity, allowing Amazon to deliver packages to customers more efficiently. This project marks the fourth facility we’ve delivered for Amazon in our national industrial portfolio.”
The Ravenhall site will be Amazon’s 13th logistics facility in Australia, joining its three existing sites in Melbourne and Geelong to further support operations in Victoria.
