The festival has earned its place as a post-Melbourne Cup tradition, with this year’s dates falling on Friday evening, November 10th from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday, November 11th from 9am to 5pm. The best part? Entry to the festival is entirely free.

Families and craft enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to attend. The festival offers an array of attractions, including free kids’ craft activities, face painting, and the company of roaming characters, providing an entertaining experience for both parents and children.

A favourite feature among festival-goers is the indulgent Devonshire Teas, which have become a staple of the event. These delightful treats are sure to satisfy any palate.

One of the festival’s standout characteristics is its dedication to promoting quality craftsmanship. With over 80 stalls, the Craft Festival Committee works diligently to ensure that the handmade crafts showcased are of the highest calibre. The variety of stalls is extensive, ranging from jewellery, toys, candles, and clothing to Christmas crafts, paper crafts, paintings, framed goods, wooden crafts, glass, pottery, ceramics, soap, skincare, chocolates, preserves, garden wares, plants, home décor items, sewing and knitting items, educational goods, and a multitude of mixed craft stalls.

The event boasts a vibrant and bustling atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for shoppers looking to find unique gifts and festive season essentials. With plenty of happy faces and a wide array of items on display, attendees are encouraged to bring their shopping bags and make the most of this shopping extravaganza.

What sets the Werribee Craft Festival apart is its commitment to giving back to the local community. As a not-for-profit organization, it has been actively supporting local charities and the Wyndham community for the past 43 years.

The festival’s roots date back to 1978 when it was held in Centenary Hall with the support of the Council. It later found its home at the Encore Events Centre in 1989 and has also graced the Wyndham City Civic Centre over the years. This journey has been a testament to the event’s resilience and enduring popularity.

The Craft Festival Committee prides itself on maintaining a high standard of merchandise each year, offering local crafters a platform to showcase and sell their goods. This dedication to quality has attracted visitors from across the state, as the excellence of the crafts available keeps people returning year after year.

Notably, the festival has grown to be more than a local tradition. Visitors come from all over Melbourne, neighbouring regions, and even interstate, and some plan their visits to Wyndham to coincide with this beloved event. The Werribee Craft Festival is now an integral part of the Wyndham City Calendar, eagerly anticipated by people of all ages.

With its long-standing commitment to quality craftsmanship and giving back to the community, the Werribee Craft Festival remains a shining example of how local traditions can enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike. This edition promises to be a remarkable weekend of creativity and community spirit, showcasing the best of Wyndham’s crafters and artisans. Don’t miss out on this celebration of craft and community at the Encore Events Centre this November.
