Wyndham police are investigating after receiving reports of an assault in Manor Lakes.
It is understood four to five male youths approached a second group of four youths in a shopping centre on Manor Lakes Boulevard at approximately 4pm.
Following a verbal confrontation, the first group of youths produced a metal pole and chased the second group through a car park and into a paddock along Ballan Road.
Witnesses have told police a silver hatchback struck one victim before fleeing the scene along Ballan Road.
The car and both parties had left the scene prior to police arriving and investigations are ongoing.
