New funding prepares Bayarip Kindergarten with state-of-the-art facilities
Barayip Kindergarten in Tarneit is set to receive up to $400,000 in funding to equip its new four-room facility, providing 132 licensed places. This grant is part of a broader initiative supporting 27 kindergartens opening in 2025, ensuring they are furnished with necessary items such as desks, chairs, blinds, lamps, kitchen appliances, play equipment, IT resources, and medical supplies.

The funding aims to ensure that these new facilities are fully prepared to support children’s learning and development from their first day. Service providers will receive up to $100,000 for each 33-place kindergarten room, with eligible purchases made over the past six months also being reimbursed.
This investment is part of the broader Best Start, Best Life reforms, which include building and expanding hundreds of kindergartens across Victoria to deliver 15 hours of three-year-old kindergarten each week by 2029 and up to 30 hours of pre-prep each week by 2036.
