In a daring early morning incident on December 3, the North-West Metro Regional Crime Squad has initiated an investigation into a brazen ram raid at the Hooked on Bait and Tackle store located on Old Geelong Road in Hoppers Crossing.

At approximately 5:40 am, unidentified thieves forcefully crashed a vehicle through the front doors of the popular outdoor equipment retailer. The assailants swiftly made their way inside, making off with numerous fishing rods and other equipment before making a hasty retreat from the scene.

The aftermath of the crime resulted in the closure of the business for the morning, as the extensive damage caused by the raid required immediate attention.

Shortly after the heist, authorities discovered the burnt-out vehicle used in the crime abandoned on Industrial Avenue in Hoppers Crossing.
