According to a spokesperson from FRV, the shed contained approximately 1000 litres of paint thinner stored in drums.
Before the arrival of the firefighting units, fifteen individuals successfully evacuated without any injuries.
Firefighters promptly contained the fire, averting its spread to adjacent properties and the stacks of truck tyres surrounding the shed, effectively bringing it under control within 30 minutes.
An investigation into the fire’s origins is currently underway by both WorkSafe and the EPA, while a community advisory message has been issued due to the presence of smoke in the vicinity. Additionally, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were present at the scene, with FRV personnel continuing to remain on-site.
