Wyndham Brickfest has turned another successful community event into a $10,000 donation towards new equipment for children at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
The funds have been donated to the Wyndham Health Foundation to support the purchase of two TOM 2 Children’s Cots for the hospital’s Emergency Department.
The specialised cots are valued at $7,500 each and are designed to allow children attending the Emergency Department to receive care in equipment suited to their needs.
The $10,000 donation has already been provided, with confirmation the two cots have been purchased and are expected to arrive at the hospital shortly.
Wyndham Brickfest President Andrew Elsbury credited the volunteers and organising committee behind the 2026 event.
“This result is outstanding and a credit to every volunteer and member of the organising committee who helped deliver the 2026 event,” Mr Elsbury said.
Wyndham Brickfest brings LEGO builders and enthusiasts together to showcase their creations while raising money for the local community.
The 2026 event attracted record attendance and a record number of displays, with Wyndham TV also heading along to capture the event and speak with some of the people behind the builds.
Held across 27 and 28 June at Hoppers Crossing Secondary College, the event brought LEGO enthusiasts together for two days of builds, displays and activities.
Attention is already turning towards Wyndham Brickfest 2027, with organisers looking for LEGO builders and creative displays for next year’s event.
“This year we had a record number of displays, record attendance, and record funds raised. Our volunteer committee is eager to build on the success of 2026 and deliver an even bigger event in 2027,” Mr Elsbury said.
