The series is set in a fading country town preparing to host its first-ever Gnome-a-Palooza festival when an ancient evil brings the town’s garden gnome population to life. What follows is a chaotic siege led by pint-sized killers with ceramic grins and deadly intentions.
At the centre of the madness are two police officers—Senior Sergeant Arnold Kipps and his ex-partner, both in life and on the force, Senior Constable Ellie McKay. She’s returned to town to shut down Arnold’s beloved police station, but when the gnome-apocalypse begins, the two must team up with a misfit group of locals to save their home.
Some of the filming took place inside the general store, with crews on site throughout the day. While curious onlookers gathered outside, what was happening behind closed doors remains a mystery for now.
Gnomes is created by Joel Kohn and stars Asa Butterfield and Megan Smart. It’s set to premiere on Stan in 2026.
