Cafés, Restuarants and shops have been given the go-ahead to reopen as part of National Cabinet’s first steps planned to ease coronavirus restrictions.

The exact details to rollout the steps planned will be managed by each State Government individually.

People will be allowed to have up to five visitors in their home and be in groups of 10 outdoors as well.

“Today, National Cabinet agreed a three-step plan and a national framework to achieve a COVID-safe economy and society,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.

“It is our goal to move through all of these steps to achieve that COVID-safe economy in July of this year.”

Scott Morrison said the process would be gradual and that people can expect more outbreaks as we go.

Step two will see groups of 20 allowed in places like gyms, beauty therapists, cinemas and galleries.

Step three, the final step, will see people return to workplaces and gatherings of up to 100 people allowed and pubs to reopen.
