Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion at Wyndham City’s Harmony Day Event

Wyndham City‘s Youth Services is thrilled to be hosting a free Harmony Day event in collaboration with the Wyndham Humanitarian Network.

 This year‘s theme isEveryone Belongs‘, and will be led by the young representatives of Wyndham Advocates for Multicultural Youth and the Wyndham City Multicultural Youth Committee.

Deputy Mayor and Welcoming Cities portfolio holder, Cr Jennie Barrera, happily declared:Harmony Day is a meaningful event in Wyndham, and we invite everyone to participate in the festivities where everyone is welcome.

Wyndham is a home to many cultures, and Harmony Day is an ideal occasion to gather the community and celebrate the diversity of our cultures, discover what we all share, and promote respect and inclusion.

The cultural performances will be thrilling and spectacular. Various groups such as the Māori, Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, Burmese, Karenni, Chin, Karen, Somali, Sierra Leone, Philippines and One Spirit of Africa will be performing.

Moreover, the Multicultural Runway will showcase a variety of cultural and traditional garments, displaying a lot of colour and radiance. Cr Barrera also added:Harmony Day will be a great family event, packed with activities, cultural performances, a fashion parade featuring traditional and cultural clothes, food and drinks, music and football giveaways.
