Children’s Week Picnic Returns

Wyndham’s biggest family day out is back this October, with the much-loved Children’s Week Picnic returning to Wyndham Park in Werribee on 26 October 2025.

Running from 10am to 4pm, this free event offers a full day of live performances, cultural showcases and hands-on activities designed to entertain children of all ages.

Although entry is free, tickets are essential and will be available from 9am on 13 October via the Wyndham City website. Families are encouraged to plan ahead and pre-book to secure their place.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Mia Shaw says the event is one of the city’s most loved traditions.

“Children’s Week Picnic is a highlight on our calendar that connects our community, creates joyful experiences for families, and builds memories to cherish,” Cr Shaw said.

“We are excited to welcome families to Wyndham Park this year – it’s the perfect backdrop to bring together the young and young at heart.”

The 2025 program includes crowd favourites Zindzi & The Zillionaires, DJ Be Kind to Other People, Dummies Corp.’s Trash Test Dummies, Mr Woody’s Bush Cabaret, and performances from Hong De Lion & Dragon Dance Association, local Pasifika group Tama Tatau, and One Spirit Africa Drumming.

In addition to the stage shows, children can enjoy free workshops and The Wonder Lawn, while parents can relax and enjoy food from local eateries and food trucks.

The event also features Council service connections such as the Pop-up Library, Maternal & Child Health, Green Living, and Emergency Management teams.

Ticketholders who are unable to attend are encouraged to cancel their booking to ensure others don’t miss out.
