With Christmas cheer Wyndham North Police have been able to reunite a stolen Christmas inflatable with its owner after it was stolen from the yard of a Hoppers Crossing home last month.
The inflatable Christmas pup was pulled from its front yard prime position by alleged thieves on Parkside Walk on 26 November about 10am.
Following an appeal by police for information and significant media coverage police received numerous calls about the incident into the local police station and Crime Stoppers.
With a number of leads police then executed two warrants in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee earlier this month.
The inflatable pup was recovered from Hoppers Crossing and the allegedly stolen scooter used at the time of the theft, was recovered from Werribee.
A 16-year-old boy from Hoppers Crossing was issued a caution in relation to handling stolen goods.
The teenager from Werribee has been interviewed and is expected to be charged on summons with handling stolen goods, unlicensed driving, careless driving and possess a prohibited weapon.
Police thanked the media and public for their assistance.
