Progress on New Dog Park
Construction is set to begin in the coming weeks on a new dog off-leash park at Citybay Drive Reserve in Point Cook after Wyndham City awarded a construction contract for the project.
The park will be built along Edge View and is designed to provide a dedicated off-leash area for local dog owners.
Plans for the facility include a large grassed area, agility equipment, secure fencing with a double-gate entry, seating, dog waste bag dispensers and a drinking fountain with an attached dog bowl.
Landscaping works will also form part of the project, with the reserve set to be upgraded to accommodate the new facility.
The new facility follows the opening of dog off-leash parks at Williams Landing Boulevard Reserve and Alcock Road Reserve in 2025, expanding Wyndham’s network of designated spaces for dogs and their owners.
According to Wyndham City, the park is intended to address demand for additional off-leash spaces in the Saltwater Coast area.
The project forms part of Wyndham City’s Dog Off-Leash Plan 2022 and broader open space planning framework.
A completion date for the park has not yet been announced.
