Creative Grants Now Open in Wyndham

Wyndham City opens applications for the 2026 Wyndham Arts Grants, offering local creatives a chance to imagine, test and showcase new work across the municipality.

The program aims to strengthen creative practice, support innovation and ensure that new artistic ideas are developed and presented here in Wyndham.

The grants are open to people who live, work or hold a clear connection to Wyndham, including emerging artists, established practitioners and collaborative groups. All supported outcomes must be delivered locally.

Two funding streams are available. Up to $3,000 is offered for Creative Development and Skills Development, supporting research, testing, scoping or skill-building that strengthens artistic practice. Up to $5,000 is available in the Presentation category for new work presented within Wyndham across any artform.

A total pool of $30,000 is allocated for the 2026 program.

Council says the grants are designed to support the creation of new work, encourage experimentation, back skills development and strengthen local creative capability.

Eligible funding activities include research, planning, collaboration, community-based creative projects, specialist mentorship, and presentations within the Wyndham area.

Applications are assessed on eligibility, alignment with grant objectives, clarity of the proposal, creative merit, delivery capacity and an achievable budget and timeline.

Successful applicants must deliver their proposed activity, sign an agreement outlining goals, attend a briefing with the Arts and Culture team, provide regular updates, acknowledge council support in all promotions and complete a full project debrief.

Public engagement may form part of the project, but applicants cannot charge participation fees.
