Crime Squad Probes Tarneit Shooting: 3 Hurt, Suspects Acquainted

Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred in Tarneit last night, where three men were reported to have sustained injuries. The Armed Crime Squad detectives are leading the investigation.

According to reports, the police were called to Friendship Place at around 11:50 pm on Tuesday, March 19, after receiving information about gunshots being fired. A thorough search of the area was conducted, but no suspects were found.

Later on, the authorities received another call about a man with gunshot wounds at a business on Derrimut Road. The 23-year-old victim, a resident of Truganina, was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services were then called to an address on Tarneit Road at around 1 am this morning. A 25-year-old man from Tarneit was treated for a hand injury and also taken to the hospital. Shortly after, a 28-year-old man from Tarneit arrived at a Melbourne hospital with an arm injury.

It is believed that both of these men were involved in the previous incident at Friendship Place. The police suspect that an altercation occurred between two groups, but the exact details of the shooting are still being determined. The detectives have confirmed that the incident was targeted and the individuals involved are known to each other.
