Today, the Critical Incident Response Team of the police closed a street in Tarneit, prompting nearby residents to stay indoors.
This was due to reports of property destruction at a Yellowfin Drive address in Tarneit on February 24.
It is said that the suspect smashed the windows of a few homes at around 10 am.
The police engaged in negotiations for several hours before apprehending the person.
Neighbours then saw the person being arrested on the front lawn.
The 24-year-old Pascoe Vale man is aiding law enforcement in their investigations.
Fortunately, no one was harmed during the episode.
