The victim, who is a ride share driver, picked up two men at an unknown location between Sayers and Leakes roads in Tarneit. The men then instructed the victim to drive to Sheahan Road in Rockbank. However, things took a dangerous turn when one of the men produced a knife and demanded the victim’s phone, cash, and vehicle.

A scuffle broke out between the two parties, and the victim sustained an injury to his hands. In a state of panic, the victim managed to flee the scene in his vehicle and drove to the intersection of Sheahan and Hopkins roads. There, he flagged down a passerby for help.

Meanwhile, the two offenders fled the scene on foot with the victim’s phone. A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the K9 Unit, and a knife was found in a nearby parkland. Despite a thorough search, the offenders were not located.

The suspects have been described as two males of islander appearance, both in their early 20s and approximately 175cms tall. They were both wearing black clothing and are of solid build.

The victim, a 34-year-old man from Airport West, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
