Disc golf enthusiasts from Melbourne Disc Golf Club and Wyndham City are collaborating on a trial course at Heathdale Glen Orden Reserve in Werribee.
Course usage is available during daylight hours every single day and will hopefully continue until the summer is over.
In addition to the nine baskets, there are also two main sections on the course, the north side and the south side.
Using the path that runs along the northeast section of the reserve, you can reach hole six after finishing hole five in the north section.
An image of the course map can be found on Melbourne Disc Golf’s Glen Orden Trial Disc Golf page.
At hole one, there will be a check-in sign, and you are asked to check in so they can monitor how popular the course is and whether Wyndham needs a permanent disc golf course.
MDGC and Wyndham City designed the course to avoid sensitive areas in the reserve. The course is located away from the actual Heathdale Glen Orden Wetlands area.
A preliminary environment assessment of the space was conducted, and it was found to be a suitable area for disc golf. The space will continue to be monitored throughout the trial period.
