Divine Intervention Saves Speedy Driver Rushing to Bible Studies

A 19-year-old P plate driver from Hoppers Crossing had a close encounter with the divine while on his way to bible studies last night. Brimbank Highway Patrol detected the young man traveling at an alleged speed of 142 kmh in an 80kmh zone, on a wet road no less!

To make matters worse, the car he was driving had bald tyres, a dangerous combination for any driver, let alone an inexperienced one.

Thankfully, divine intervention was at play, and the driver managed to avoid any serious consequences. The patrol officer on duty remarked that it was a miracle that the driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle given the conditions and the speed at which he was traveling.

It seems that the young driver must have been in a hurry to get to his bible studies, perhaps hoping for a sign from above that he should slow down and take things at a more leisurely pace. After all, the Bible does teach us to be patient and to trust in a higher power.

In the end, this close call serves as a reminder to all drivers, young and old, to take their responsibilities seriously, especially when driving in adverse conditions. It’s always better to arrive at your destination a little late than not to arrive at all.

Let’s hope that the young driver learned his lesson and that his future trips to bible studies are a little less eventful. As they say, “Drive safely and let Jesus take the wheel!”
