Dramatic Arrest in Werribee: Assault, Stolen Car, Airwing Intervention and Forcible Entry

Arrest on Anderson Street Werribee

On Thursday, 11 April, police in Werribee forced entry into a property on Anderson Street, in a coordinated police operation that led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man from Hoppers Crossing. The arrest followed the recovery of a stolen vehicle at approximately 2:40 pm.

During the operation, several properties were searched as police, including many plainclothes officers and detectives, swarmed the area. The extensive effort involved both the police airwing and ground teams, focusing on the vicinity of Bridge Street and McDonald Street.

Arrest on Anderson Street
The man was apprehended at around 4 pm, facing numerous charges including recklessly causing injury, aggravated assault of a female, assault with a weapon, theft of a motor vehicle, and other related offences. 
He was held in custody and later remanded to appear at the Sunshine Magistrate’s Court this morning.
