
In a dramatic incident this afternoon on May 16th around 4pm, a police chase unfolded through the streets of Tarneit.
It began when approximately four individuals in a black Audi Q3, believed to be stolen, caught the attention of police.
The high-speed pursuit witnessed the Audi running multiple red lights and narrowly avoiding collisions as it sped through the suburb. The Airwing unit was deployed to aid in the pursuit and stop sticks were deployed at various points.
The chase came to a halt on Rose Grange Boulevard, where the allegedly stolen vehicle was finally stopped.
Police swiftly apprehended four males at the scene, three of whom were wearing school uniforms under their tops. A subsequent search of the Audi revealed the presence of a bong, among other items, which were placed on the ground by the police.
Officers arrested the driver, a 16-year-old boy. He is assisting police with their enquires. The other three occupants were released pending further enquires.
