Driver Blames Car’s V-TEC for Speeding.

A Tarneit man who was caught speeding by police has blamed his car for the incident that recorded him doing 38km/h over the speed limit.

Police alleged that the 25 year old man was detected doing 108km/h in a 70km/h zone.

When questioned by police he explained to them that after just having a recent oil change in the Honda Type-R , “The V-TEC just kicked in!”

Brimbank Highway Patrol Members decided to give the car a few months in the garage so that the car won’t cause any future problems.

The incredible feature of the V-TEC technology is that the engine can have the low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine.

In fact, the main idea with Honda i-VTEC is to have the maximum engine performance at every RPM range.

Just be careful after an oil change?
