
Last night, 26th of April, the Westgate Highway Patrol attended Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing after a car had crashed into a bollard.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported. However, the driver, a 23–year–old man from St Albans, was found to have a blood alcohol reading of .227, four times the legal limit.
He was charged with drink driving and driving without a licence and will have to face the Werribee Magistrates‘ Court at a later date.
Two females who appeared underage were also taken from the scene by police.
