Several Injured and Occupants Flee Scene After Dramatic Collision Near Morris Road and Leakes Road

Police are currently investigating a multi-vehicle collision that occurred early Friday morning near the intersection of Morris Road and Leakes Road in Truganina.

At approximately 4:45 am, four cars collided in what authorities describe as a serious incident. The vehicles involved included a black Toyota Camry, a silver Honda Accord, a red Holden Amiga, and a red Holden Commodore.

Red Commodore Truganina Crash

The male driver of the black Toyota Camry was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The female driver of the silver Honda Accord and the male driver of the red Holden Amiga were not injured in the collision. However, two occupants of the red Holden Commodore sustained minor injuries. Police reported that some occupants of the Commodore fled the scene on foot.

Leakes Road and Morris Road Crash

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson stated, “Paramedics responded to an incident at Truganina around 4:50 am on 24 May 2024. Three people were taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital.”

Local residents reported being awoken by a loud bang. One resident, who was sleeping only metres away from where the red Commodore struck their fence, described the chaos as the vehicle smashed through trees.
