Early Morning House Fire in Hoppers Crossing


A  large combination of  approximately 13 FRV and 16 CFA firefighters responded to a house fire in Hoppers Crossing early on Monday morning.

Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the house on Wiltonvale Avenue was well alight, just before 2:00am.

FRV and CFA firefighters arrived on the scene in six minutes to find the house fully alight.

Fortunately, the only occupant of the house had safely evacuated. Crews were also sent in to find the owners dog who was unaccounted for, the dog was located inside and saved.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the fire and brought it under control in five minutes.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental.
