Embarrassing “Crowd” at Wyndham’s Sneaky Sound System Concert.

ARIA award-winning duo, Sneaky Sound System, performed in Wyndham over the weekend to less than favourable crowd numbers.

The concert at Wyndham Park on Saturday 29th January, featured support by established singer-songwriter Tanya George, who recently featured on ‘The Voice’ and a relatively unknown performer, Gaudion.

Sneaky Sound System has received many industry accolades and produced successful albums and tours, even lending their vocals and lyrics to albums by superstars such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Snoop Dogg.

With such a notable act coming to Wyndham, why is it that very few people actually attended?

Locals were advised online the venue was booked out.

Council’s website touted the event saying that Sneaky Sound System will be gracing the stage at Wyndham Park with a FREE performance for all to enjoy! But this wasn’t the case as not ALL were able to attend.

Some people who tried to book to attend two weeks before the performance were told the event was ‘sold out’.

Under the ‘arts and live performance sector guidance’ on the Victorian Government’s coronavirus page for events held during the current pandemic, it states that primarily outdoor spaces have no patron limit. Although there are some special conditions for events over 30,000. Clearly, numbers could have been higher which left many fans disappointed.

Those that were fortunate enough to attend loved the show, while others said they had no idea the event was on, but really, would it have mattered?

Wyndham TV contacted Sneaky Sound System’s Management but received no response.
