
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a single-car crash in Werribee South on Monday, September 11, 2023. The incident took place around 12:20 pm on Cunninghams Road, involving a red Mazda 6.
According to preliminary reports, the red Mazda 6 was travelling north when it veered off Cunninghams Road. The driver, identified as a 35-year-old resident of Werribee, suffered an upper-body injury as a result of the crash. Fortunately, the injury was deemed non-life-threatening.
Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The situation appeared serious enough to warrant the deployment of an air ambulance, which also arrived promptly. However, it was determined that the injured man did not need to be airlifted to the hospital.
The injured driver was subsequently transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for medical attention, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. Authorities have not released further information regarding the extent of his injuries.
