Concession Holders Encouraged to Apply

Eligible Wyndham residents can apply for a $100 Power Saving Bonus to help reduce household electricity bills, with applications closing at midnight on 31 March 2026.

The payment is available to households that hold a health care card, pensioner concession card, veterans’ affairs pensioner concession card or veterans’ affairs gold card.

Only one bonus can be claimed per household for this round, and applicants must provide a recent residential electricity bill.

Applications can be completed online through the Victorian Energy Compare website, or by phone for residents who prefer not to apply online.

In-person assistance is also available at participating Neighbourhood Houses, which has been used by residents without internet access or who need help completing the application.

The bonus is a one-off payment and is not automatically applied to electricity bills. Eligible households must submit an application before the closing date to receive the $100 credit.

Wyndham residents experiencing ongoing difficulty paying energy bills can also access the Energy Assistance Program, a free phone support service that provides help with managing energy costs, understanding bills and accessing available support options.

Applications for the Power Saving Bonus close on 31 March 2026. Residents can apply at compare.energy.vic.gov.au or by calling 1800 000 832. The Energy Assistance Program can be contacted on 1800 161 215.
