In short:
Wyndham will run local events for the global 16 Days of Activism campaign from 25 November to 10 December, supporting awareness and prevention of gender-based violence.
Events To Encourage Equality
Wyndham is preparing a series of events between 25 November and 10 December to mark the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
The global campaign, which begins on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on Human Rights Day, highlights the ongoing reality of gendered violence and the need for stronger prevention efforts.
Created by UN Women, 16 Days of Activism encourages communities worldwide to learn, reflect and take action to end violence against women and girls.
The campaign also stresses that gender-based violence is a significant barrier to safe, equal and inclusive communities.
Locally, this year’s program features a keynote address from Mataio Brown, a film screening and panel for Wounded Warriors, free webinars, a personal safety workshop and the Walk Against Family Violence.
