Discover Live Performances, Art Exhibitions, and Workshops in the Heart of Wyndham's Cultural Centre
A diverse range of innovative and fresh events is set to grace Wyndham in the upcoming months.
The Annex, conveniently located next to the Wyndham Cultural Centre on Watton Street, Werribee, will be the stage for these exciting happenings.
In the month of October, the community can look forward to three engaging activities:
1. Words In The West: Featuring Connor Ovenden-Shaw, this event will take place on the 19th of October, 23rd of November, and the 14th of December, running from 7 pm to 9 pm. Words in the West is an evening dedicated to live spoken word, visual performances, and poetry, showcasing the talents of creators and writers in Melbourne’s west.
2. BeatFactor: Offering weekly Latin-Jazz music performances and workshops with Rod Pilois. This will occur from 1 pm to 2 pm on the 28th of October and 11th of November. Attendees can enjoy soothing tunes, groovy rhythms, and an interactive drum workshop.
3. I Will Figure it Out Later: Featuring ArtDecypher, this event is scheduled from Wednesday, 25th October to Sunday, 5th November, between 11 am and 3 pm. It’s an art exhibition that playfully pokes fun at art while celebrating the creative process.
Cr Marcel Mahfoud, Wyndham City’s Creative Cities portfolio holder, emphasizes, “Wyndham’s arts community is embracing The Annex as a creative space where local creatives can present visual and digital art exhibitions, installations, and performing arts presentations, including music, workshops, spoken word, poetry, and sound design.” He invites everyone to witness the creativity of local artists unveiling new and experimental works this Spring, promising a unique experience.
