Explore Tarneit and Get Fit with Active Tarneit Program!

Active-Tarneit-Program

Revel in the pleasure and physical fitness of Active Tarneit! This program of free activities and events, which will run until July, is being held at Tarneit‘s community centres, parks, and other locations.

It features exciting activities like women‘s boxing, skateboarding lessons for children, and holiday programs for toddlers.

As part of the Tarneit Revitalisation Program, Active Tarneit aims to create a suburb that is valued by its residents for its recreational spaces, urban centre, and growing economic environment.

According to Wyndham City‘s Action City Portfolio holder, Councillor Peter Maynard, the program has seen a steady increase in popularity since it began in 2021. Reclink and other local providers are delivering the Active Tarneit activities.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Reclink Sports Coordinator Jasmine Griffiths. We‘re now seeing over 300 people at our sessions each week, and everyone seems to be having a great time!”

This project was made possible with the help of the Tarneit Revitalisation Board and Victorian Government funding. For additional details, please visit https://www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/activetarneit.
