The B24 Liberator Memorial Australia military aircraft museum is holding an Open Day in Werribee on Sunday 7 May 2023, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Free admission, free morning tea and sausage sizzle lunch, engine runs, WW2 Military Display and entertainment will be provided, making it a great family day out for all with historical interest.

This Open Day is to celebrate the start of the most recent restoration of an AVRO Anson aircraft (developed in the mid1930s), with the generous donation of parts by the RAAF and the purchase of other components from an interstate collection.

The Anson was used heavily in WW2 by the RAAF, in both Military and Civil forms, until the mid1950s. Additionally, several other aircraft are under restoration in the WW2 heritagelisted hangar at Werribee.

The address is B24 Liberator Memorial Australia, Cnr Farm Rd and Princes Hwy, Werribee  and the website is b24australia.org.au. Everyone is encouraged to come and see them.
