Westgate Highway Patrol have intercepted what appears to be a ‘fake taxi’ after receiving reports of hooning in the area.
Police say they are not sure whether it was the fake taxi sign or the extremely bad paint job that caught their attention, but also mentioned the fact that it may have been the sparks flying off the rims whilst doing a burnout.
The vehicle was also spotted in Werribee late last week with no rear tail lights or number plate.
The AU Falcon was impounded and the male driver will appear before a court with several driving charges.
