A tragic accident occurred at the intersection of Watton Street and Station Place in Werribee at approximately 7:30 pm this evening 15th of August, resulting in the death of a motorbike rider.
Eyewitnesses reported that the collision involved a car and a motorbike and the impact of the crash was severe, emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after the incident was reported.
Despite the prompt response from emergency personnel, the 26-year-old motorbike rider from Werribee succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Police cordoned off the area as a crime scene to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The closure caused traffic diversions and delays in the vicinity, and commuters were advised to seek alternative routes until the scene was cleared.
