The fire on Watton Street broke out shortly before 3.30am prompting emergency responders.
A fire erupted at a tobacco shop located on Watton Street in Werribee early this morning, around 3:30 am on June 22nd.
Upon receiving the emergency call, fire brigades and police rushed to the scene.
In their attempt to douse the flames, emergency responders were forced to gain entry into the shop. Their rapid intervention helped prevent the fire from spreading further and causing additional damage.

As a result, Watton Street was closed in both directions.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Further investigations are underway.
