
In the early morning hours of Saturday 13th May, a garage in Werribee suffered severe damage due to a blazing fire. Fire crews were alerted to the incident on Attadale Avenue at approximately 3 am. Upon arrival, they discovered the garage engulfed in flames.
Efforts to combat the fire were swiftly initiated, and within thirty minutes, the flames were successfully brought under control. Fortunately, the blaze resulted in only minor damage to the attached residence. Fire crews remained at the scene for some time to ensure that all remaining hotspots were extinguished.
According to the Country Fire Authority (CFA), the two individuals residing in the home managed to evacuate safely before the fire spread further. Authorities have stated that there is no reason to suspect any foul play as the cause of the fire, suggesting it was likely accidental or non-malicious in nature.
