In short:
Wyndham residents have five days remaining to complete the Census before 11 August. The data will help plan services and infrastructure across one of Australia’s fastest-growing and most diverse communities.
Each Answer Is Valuable
With just five days to go until Census night on 11 August, the Australian Bureau of Statistics is reminding residents they can complete their Census as soon as they receive their instructions.
The Census is particularly important for Wyndham, one of Australia’s fastest-growing and most culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
The data collected helps governments, councils and service providers plan future schools, hospitals, transport, housing and other essential services.
Census national spokesperson Emily Walter said the ABS had already received more than one million completed forms.
“Most households across Australia have started to receive Census letters with instructions on how to complete their Census, or how to order a paper form.
“If you are yet to receive your instructions or would like to complete the Census separately from the rest of your household, head to the Census website to get a Census number or request a paper form.”
Support is available through the Census website, including translated information, details for the Census Contact Centre and locations for in-person assistance at Pop-up Hubs.
People who will not be at their usual home on Census night should visit the website and indicate whether the property will be vacant or whether residents will be travelling or staying elsewhere.
