The incident unfolded around 6:45 pm on Monday, 21 October, when officers were alerted to a Camry being driven erratically. A patrol later located the vehicle on Ison Road in Manor Lakes at approximately 7:20 pm. The car was tracked at a distance until the Air Wing arrived to continue monitoring from above.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle, but it sped off. Tyre deflation devices were successfully deployed on Old Geelong Road, forcing the Camry to stop near a fast-food restaurant. The four occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot but were quickly apprehended by officers.
