Police tracked the stolen vehicle, with assistance from the Air Wing, as it moved through Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. Stop sticks were deployed, successfully bringing the vehicle to a halt on Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing. The front driver’s side wheel came off, forcing the vehicle to stop.

Local residents captured the intense scene on camera as police apprehended two of the offenders on the median strip. All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested without further incident.

The group includes an 18-year-old from Hoppers Crossing and three 16-year-olds from Tarneit, Altona North, and Werribee. They are currently being interviewed by police.

One of the teens might have had a better chance at escaping, but their pants wouldn’t stay up—making it a little harder to run from the law.
