Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations and Wyndham based community groups, including those with an auspice.

The funding aims to help community groups and not-for-profit organisations to develop and lead innovative projects that will further support and strengthen the Wyndham community in line with the Wyndham 2040 Community Vision.

The funding also aims to support Wyndham’s ongoing recovery from the pandemic.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Peter Maynard said Wyndham has a number of strong community groups and organisations that work with the broader community to meet a range of needs.

“We want to help these community groups and organisations grow and thrive,” he said. “They are often the first point of contact in the suburbs, where friendships are made and where community building begins.”

“We seek applications for projects that will provide fun and interactive activities for the community to participate in and projects that will increase the support and care of our community and environment. Over the last year we have funded some great projects, including many aimed at activities and support for local youth, seniors and people experiencing negative impacts of the pandemic.  I look forward to seeing further innovative and targeted applications this year.”

Wyndham’s Medium Grant round opened on 15 June 2022 and closes 15 July 2022 at 3pm. An information session will be held on 20 June 2022 at Wyndham Civic Centre, Princess Hwy, Werribee to register and for more information go to: Community Grants Program | Wyndham City
