Young and LGBTIQA+ voices wanted
Wyndham City Council is inviting residents to join its People’s Advisory Panel – a group of community-minded locals who want to help shape the city’s future.
The panel gives residents the chance to share ideas, give feedback, and be part of the conversation on upcoming Council projects.
Wyndham Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said it doesn’t matter whether residents are new to Wyndham or long-time locals – everyone’s insight is valuable.
“Our residents know Wyndham better than anyone. From the parks they enjoy to the streets they travel, they understand what makes our city great and what could make it even better. That’s why we want to hear from them!” she said.
Cr Shaw said the People’s Advisory Panel allows residents to play an active role in shaping Council decisions.
“To create a panel that truly represents our diverse community, we especially encourage women, young people aged 16 to 24, and LGBTIQA+ community members to join and share their unique voices,” she said.
“Together, we can ensure Wyndham continues to be a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking city that reflects the voices of everyone who calls it home.”
Panel members will have the chance to meet with other locals, contribute feedback on local priorities, and see how Council turns community ideas into action.
Registrations close 30 November.
