Crime Scene: Masked Men Armed with Machetes Break into Residence, Prompting Residents to Flee.
Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated home invasion in Tarneit that occurred on 1 June. According to reports, three men wearing masks and armed with machetes forcibly entered a residence on Baden Powell Drive at around 4:15 am. The house is now a crime scene.
The trio confronted a 22-year-old man inside before assaulting him, during the incident he sustained lacerations to his leg and hand.
At the time, the residence also housed a 62-year-old man, a 17-year-old male teenager, and an 11-year-old boy. All four individuals swiftly fled the premises and contacted emergency services.
Paramedics from Ambulance Victoria were called to the location and provided medical attention to the injured man before transferring him to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
It is worth noting that the same individual was previously airlifted to the hospital in critical condition in November 2021 due to an unrelated incident where two people were stabbed following an altercation with a group of individuals at an address on Tatra Street around 4:30 am.
