Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have laid multiple charges in relation to an aggravated burglary on Winslow Court in Keysborough around 5am on 8 February 2025.

Police allege a group of men entered the home and a confrontation followed, during which a firearm was discharged. A 45-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Three other men and a woman inside the house were not physically harmed.

A 39-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested by the Fugitive Squad in Glen Waverley. He faces several charges including aggravated home invasion with a firearm, false imprisonment, common law assault, and theft.

Search warrants were carried out at homes in Hoppers Crossing and Deer Park on 27 February, and in Tarneit on 2 April. As a result, a 38-year-old man from Hoppers Crossing, along with three others — a 33-year-old from Gowanbrae, a 55-year-old from Deer Park, and a 40-year-old man with no fixed address — were charged with similar offences.

Some of the men also face additional charges relating to prohibited weapons and drugs.

All four have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 23 May. The fifth man is expected in court today.

Police believe those involved were known to one another.
