Store celebrates 12th division one win in 22 years
A Hoppers Crossing man says he is “dumbfounded” after stumbling across a $1.5 million TattsLotto win from last weekend’s draw.
The local held one of four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4603 on 30 August 2025. Each division one prize was worth $1,569,487.31.
“It’s a dizzying experience!” the winner told officials from The Lott.
He explained that he usually buys two tickets a week at the same agency but rarely checks them immediately. “I usually only find out if I have a win when I go in the following week and collect $20 or $30,” he said.
On this occasion, his visit to Super Lotto at Hogans Shopping Centre, Hoppers Crossing, brought life-changing news.
“The guy behind the counter said, ‘Hang on, I’ve got good news for you’. I said, ‘How good?’. He said, ‘Very good news!’. Then he told me I’d won $1.5 million. I just stood there. I’m dumbfounded,” the man said.
Despite the windfall, he said his lifestyle won’t change. “I lead a reasonably simple life. I’m not an extravagant spender. Nothing changes. I will still go to work. It’s just that if worse comes to worst, I won’t have to worry about money,” he said.
He plans to pay off his house and invest the rest carefully.
Super Lotto owner John Falduto said the outlet was thrilled to deliver another division one win. “We were thinking it was about time for another big win. This is our twelfth division one win during the past 22 years,” he said. “Congratulations to our winner. We hope this changes your life in a positive way.”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4603 were 10, 28, 5, 4, 9 and 36, with supplementary numbers 2 and 14. Three of the four division one prizes were won in Victoria, with the fourth in Queensland.
