VIDEO: House Fire on Heaths Road


Multiple calls were received from Triple Zero (000) for lots of smoke coming from a single storey brick house in Werribee this morning. The callers stated that flames were coming out the window and smoke issuing from the roof.

Fire Rescue Victoria appliances arrived within 4 minutes to find the house to be well alight, with the occupants assisted by a local to evacuate to the front yard. One of the occupants was taken to the Western Hospital in Footscray and treated for minor smoke inhalation.

 Fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus made their way into the house containing the fire to the front half of the house.

11 Pumpers, 1 Rescue Unit, 1 Aerial Unit and 2 other units attended.

The fire was declared under control at 09:41hrs. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, as Fire Investigators will need to attend.

55 Firefighters were on scene.

The two occupants were passed on to Ambulance Victoria for possible smoke inhalation. Victoria Police and Gas and Electricity companies also attended the premises.
