Jamieson Way Centre Upgrade Nears Completion with New Facilities
Wyndham City has announced that the first phase of Point Cook’s Jamieson Way Community Centre upgrade, known as Stage 1A, is nearing completion.
This milestone includes several key improvements, such as the addition of a third kindergarten room, updated amenities, and the redevelopment of the maternal child health spaces and community centre reception.
Another significant enhancement is the integration of staff offices for centre management and early years services into a more efficient single area.
During the September school holidays, services such as Maternal Child Health will be providing the community with information about their offerings. The Board of Management will continue running activities from the site. Starting 7 October, the community centre will be accessible through a new northern entrance, with previous interim entry points being closed.
Preparations for Stage 1B will begin in early October and will focus on converting the current change rooms into a versatile community meeting space, along with the construction of a new community kitchen.
