In short:
Looking for a free family night out? Movies in the Park is back with food options, pre-show fun and easy access from Werribee Station.
Free Movies for All
Outdoor cinema season returns to Werribee, with Wyndham City bringing back its free Movies in the Park program across summer and early autumn. Each event runs from 5pm to 8pm, with pre-movie entertainment from 5pm and the movie starting at 6pm, giving families plenty of time to picnic, relax and settle in on the lawn at Kelly Park.
Residents are welcome to bring picnic blankets or fold-up chairs, though people using chairs may be asked to sit at the back or sides to ensure clear views for everyone. Tables, umbrellas and marquees are not permitted. Entry is free and no booking or registration is required.
Picnics are encouraged, and visitors are reminded that alcohol is not allowed. Werribee City Centre offers a wide range of takeaway options along Watton Street, and the Werribee RSL will run a sausage sizzle in the park. People can also choose to dine in before or after the screening at local cafes and restaurants. Sunscreen, hats, water and extra layers are recommended, with warm afternoons often followed by cooler temperatures once the sun sets.
Kelly Park is only a short walk from Werribee Train Station, making it easy to reach by train or connecting bus services. Limited local parking is also available for those travelling by car. Wyndham City advises that screenings may be cancelled or rescheduled in poor weather, and residents should check the Council website or Facebook page for updates.
